The weather was perfect for the Jingle Bell Jog this year, and we were ready to hit the road. It was a good time with good friends, and lots of laughs.
Because it was our 10th anniversary, we decided to celebrate with some sweetness - a cake! It was yummy and made especially for us by Sue Seager’s Cakes.
Jill’s here but Nick and Kim couldn’t make it this year. We hope they’ll be here for the 2012 edition.
Andrew designs the shirts and he did an outstanding job incorporating the past logos into this year’s anniversary design. Doesn’t you just love his mistletoe headband?
Robbie’s getting ready and so are Jane and her niece.
We have boxes of costumes and try to make sure that everyone is dressed appropriately. Ha Ha.
We have a large assortment of costumes to choose from.
Pre-race instructions from the Co-Director. That’s me! Notice how everyone is paying strict attention.
And we’re off! Nobody took a side trip to King’s Bake Shop for some donuts, but it was tempting!!
Everyone looks strong in the first 1/4 mile.
Ronnie looks so cute with the Rudolph nose!
Heading up the hill. It doesn’t look it, but this is actually the highest elevation of the course.
We can do it!
We’re starting to string out a little now.
These are the leaders at the one mile point.
Beth fell back a little, but she’s not giving up. She knows all about the special treat for the first place finishers!
Jane is followed by Bob and the rest of the gang.
Bob is dressed as Father Christmas/Christmas caroler.
Come on Woody!!!
Lauren looks like a gingerbread boy, but we know she’s actually a West Perry Field Hockey player!
This is Maggie dressed in the bunny pj’s. Remember, the bunny pj’s in The Christmas Story?
Erin and Tom are looking strong.
Here are the leaders now, a little past the mile and a half mark.
Beth is right behind them, and I’m right behind Beth. Can I catch her?
Sweet Sydney is waiting and watching for her Mommy to run in the lane.
Andrew is zipping in the lane with nobody close behind him. Andrew is FAST!
Here come Ronnie and his dad. Ronnie is a fast little ten year old!
Tom’s next. Where’s Erin???
We even had an official time clock this year. Thanks for bringing it Woody!
Here comes Erin and I know Taylor and Sydney were happy when their Mommy ran in the lane.
Beth finished right after Erin and I wasn’t that far behind Beth.
Beth (the elf), Rob and Ronnie.
Jane’s in next!
Good job Bob!
Tom’s cute daughter in her reindeer nose and antlers.
This is the way to finish, with both feet off the ground!
Tom’s sister is cruising to an easy finish.
Yes! Our field hockey player is looking good!
Maggie and Woody look like they’re having a good time!
Paige didn’t run, but looks cute in the the dancing elf hat.
Paige, Lauren, and Jane.
Beth, Andrew, Ron and sweet Sydney.
Alyssa is in along with Jill. Thanks for watching out for Allyssa, Jill.
Jill’s got the spirit with her sweater and earings!
Now it’s time for the Finisher’s Medals.
Here I am, in complete control, telling Bob and Beth what to do.
Erin and Andrew won again and look happy with their first place finisher’s awards. They each got a cupcake decorated with a lot of icing!
Andrew and Erin are showing Beth their first place prizes.
Erin popped the cork off her champagne bottle pretty easily this year.
Andrew had a bit of a struggle, but got the job done!
Here we are – all of us – after the official running of the 2011 Greater Blain Jingle Bell Jog!
Beth, Maggie, and Jill. Together again!
Andrew and Beth celebrating the JBJ one more time!
After we run what do we do? Eat of course!
Thanks for coming everyone, and thanks Danny, for serving as the official race photographer again this year!
